I've been experimenting with the whole Twitter thing for the past week. I must say that I was addicted within one hour. I don't think it's going to last but I wanted to see what it's all about. There are some cool possibilities there but I feel that another incarnation will come about rather quickly. I think Twitter is ugly. All those ampersands and tacky tiny
url's. My tweets took on a different vibe that didn't appear too common over there. I posted no links and only a handful of @'s, just to see what that was all about. The outlet that I found appeared to be stream of consciousness. It was therapy for me. I didn't know anyone on there and I really don't care to. Not knowing someone was somewhat liberating for me. I felt like a college girl showing her tits. That might also mean I looked like an idiot. There are too many marketers on there trying to make a quick buck too. The real value in something like Twitter is that it could be a real-time zeitgeist/in the moment platform capable of reading the public subconscious giving us insight to each others' lives and helping us make sense of the world we live in. Unfortunately, I think Twitter is overrated, misused and unstable.
It helps to read them backwards too because it is a stream of thought. Wish they'd had a way of making that easier for you but, like I said, it's sort of a bo-bo sight.
I'm coming back to blogger with more delicious obscurity and tart clarity than you can shake a stick @. Use this time to change your diapers. Stay tuned, minions...
